Langley Pond Park a County 'jewel', by Haley Hughes, reported on the acquisition of Langley Pond
Park by Aiken County and the Aiken Land Conservancy. ALC and Aiken County received a grant
from the SC Conservation Bank to facilitate this purchase. Published in the Aiken Standard on

Conservation easement used to preserve green acreage, by Steve Hale and Sarah Eakin,
reported on the use of a conservation easement by Mr. Wade Brodie to preserve his land in Aiken

The 2009 ALC Annual Meeting was held Sunday, February 8, at The Willcox. Approximately 75
members and guests gathered to hear about the latest Conservancy activities, including the
recent re-branding of the organization, strategic planning efforts, and plans for the coming year.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2008, the Aiken Land Conservancy (ALC) announced to the public
the Land Trust's new name, new logo, adn new web site. Read more about the new ALC in
